THE FINE PRINT

This is an open call for artists for our first official group show - please join us! We have been having fun deconstructing a pile of frames we recently acquired, cutting them down, rebuilding them to new sizes, and painting them red. We want you to fill them with some black and white art! We love all the colors, but we’re also intrigued by a limited palette and how that will bring everything together in a group show.

ART DETAILS

• Artwork must be entirely black and white with no exceptions. No gray or mid-tones permitted.

• Art must be submitted on time to allow our staff the time necessary to complete the framing process.

• Any medium that can fit into a frame and hang on one nail will be considered. Three dimensional works will be considered on a case by case basis. Please contact us with questions and ideas.

PROCESS, PROMOTIONS & COST

• Artists receive a red frame sized 5x7, 8x10, or 11x14 of their choosing (first come, first served) with their submission fee.

• Artists will return artwork to the gallery by the due date and our staff will professionally assemble your piece into your frame and hang the show.

• Promotions include a website and newsletter listing, social media event and posts, & inclusion in Arts Council of the Valley First Fridays press release.

• Submission fees:

  • 5x7 frame — $20

  • 8x10 frame — $25

  • 11x14 frame — $30

• Artists are responsible for pricing their work.

• Our standard gallery commission fees apply.

MANDATORY DATES

• June 4-7, 10am-6pm or June 8, 10am-4pm: Choose a frame and pay your submission fee

• September 27, 10am-6pm or September 28, 10-4: Finished artwork and label info dropped off at Frame Factory & Gallery

• November 1, 5-8pm: First Fridays Art Gallery Opening

• December 21, 10am - 4pm: Unsold artwork must be picked up from the gallery
